Verbs with Adjectives

Don't use the adverb with the following verbs.
Bei den folgenden Verben steht immer das Adjektiv:

   to be

   to become

   to get

   to grow

   to keep

   to remain

   to seem

   to sound

   to stay

   to turn

I am happy. You are nice. He is great. She was wonderful. It will be cold. We are curious. You are young. They are old. It's late, you must be weary. 

This becomes important. He became old.

Now that the sun has come out it's getting warm.

This tree will grow big.

This is a library, you must keep silent!

When I worked in the garden my shoes didn't remain clean.

It seems obvious that you must buy a ticket before you get on the train.

That sounds good to me.

The Irish fought the British because they wanted to stay free.

The milk turned sour because I forgot to put it in the fridge.
