"Whisky on the rocks" the term is also used in German. Der Ausdruck "on the rocks" wird auch im Deutschen gebraucht.

You would not say "water on the rocks", but rather ice water or iced water. Bei alkoholfreien Getränken verwendet man den Ausdruck nicht.
